Our mission
At Flannel River, we are committed to nurturing a love for the outdoors. This is our mission which serves as our ‘north star’ to all of our key-making decisions, programs and initiatives.
-
increasing access
Everyone should be able to enjoy the outdoors and the activities that it offers; however, we know that this is not the case for everyone.
From our first boat being constructed with wheelchair users in mind, to our upcoming library of gear, we want everyone to be able to access the outdoors the way they deserve to.
-
caring for our community
It’s vital we play a part in protecting and caring for the spaces that we occupy, whether they be our rivers or our parks.
At Flannel River, we encourage and embrace opportunities to get involved through working with local charities and businesses.
-
respecting the role of Indigenous peoples
We recognize and respect the role of Native American and First Nations people as the original and traditional stewards of our great outdoors.
